THE NEW SITCOM FROM ROBERT CHANTLER

Airwaves is a new six part radio situation comedy set in the radio station of the fictitious City of London Hospital.

Unfortunately, the volunteers are incapable of keeping their personal lives at home and the mix of personalities provides an ever simmering volcano watched over by the embattled management team and their hypochondriac chairman.

There's the "will do anything" naive newbie, two diva presenters always bitching with each other, a renegade DJ that the management can't sack because a commercial station is sponsoring the station as long as he stays on the air, and a whole host of other colourful characters including a hospital phobic presenter who's always trying to find ways of getting requests without going on the wards.

The station is also under constant threat of suffering from the cuts forced upon the trust by the Government's NHS reforms and the biggest worry of the managament is that the volunteers will let the station or the hospital down.

Very different humour to Hannah but plenty of fun to be had.  The writing begins now...
